Competitie Manager 2010-2011 is all about predicting the outcome of the World Cup Football in South Africa! After joining the game it is up to you to make your prediction for the Group phase and the Knock-out phase of the WC Football 2010. Then you can predict the number of goals and the number of yellow and red cards. Once you have completed your prediction, you will score points for every prediction you made.

In short; make the perfect prediction, collect as many points as possible and win great prizes! But remember, this game is not just about winning the top rewards: it’s a great game to play with friends, family and colleagues, so why not invite them all to join your own Subleague.

On the page 'My Prediction' you can make your prediction for the World Cup Football 2010 in South Africa.
Go to 'My Predictions' and enter your prediction for the Group phase (Pool A-H). When filling in your prediction for the Group phase, you can see the active ranking in the pool, based on your predictions. The 2 highest placed countries in each Group are 'qualified' for the knock-out phase.

Attention: Are you happy with the teams you predicted to reach the Last 16? If not, adjust your group phase predictions till it fits your requirements.

Then click on 1 of 2 countries in the round of 16 to pick a winner for the quarter finals. Also repeat this action for the quarter finals to determine who will play in the semi finals and then pick your countries for the final. Finally you can pick the World Champion.

Pay Attention: You can still change your scores of the Group phase when you are filling in your predictions for the Knock-out phase.

Make your predictions before the World Cup starts. The teams you predict to go through from a certain group are based on the predictions you make for the outcomes of all the teams in that group.

Correct outcome:
You get different points for each correct prediction depending on what the odds for that outcome (1, X or 2) would be at Unibet. This means that you get higher points if you predict a big upset than a favorite to win. So make sure that you choose your predictions with care. Know when to predict a win for the favorite and when to find the upsets in order to get as many points as possible during the Group stage! Example:
Brazil vs. North Korea
Brazil 1.12 (If you predict Brazil and they win, you will get 1.12 points)
Draw 6.00 (If you predict a Draw and that happen, you will get 6 points)
North Korea 18.00 (If you predict North Korea and they win, you will get 18 points)

Correct Score in the Match:
5 Points is awarded if you predict exactly the correct score in the match.

Correct Score for a certain Team in a Match:
You also get points if you predict the correct amount of goals scored for a specific team. The points are as follows:
0 Points = Incorrect prediction
1 Point = 0 or 1 Goal correctly predicted
2 Points = 2 Goals correctly predicted
3 Points = 3 Goals correctly predicted
4 Points = 4 Goals or More correctly predicted (Max points per team is 4)

Qualification from Group Stage:
2 Points per team you predict to progress from the Group Stage
1 Point if you predict the team to finish in the correct position in the Group

Knock-Out Stage:
You also get points if you make the correct predictions for the knock-out stage, the points are awarded as follows:
6 Points: For each team you predict to progress from the Last 16
10 Points: For each team you predict to progress from the Quarter Final
15 Points: For each team you predict to progress from the Semi-Final
20 Points: For predicting the Bronze medal winner
30 Points: For predicting the Gold medal winner

Odds are a way of indicating the percentage chance/probability of an outcome occurring. The lower the odds the greater a chance there is of that outcome occurring. Odds of 1.10 on a team indicate that team have a great chance of winning and so you do not win as much from your stake € 1 Stake = € 1.10 Return Odds of 12.00 on a team indicate that team have a lesser chance of winning but you would win a lot more from your stake € 1 Stake = € 12.00 Return By using Odds when betting it makes it easy to work out how much you will win from your bet. Example: England 1.55 Draw 3.75 USA 6.25 If you were to have a € 1 bet on the draw and you are correct then your return would be € 1 x 3.75 = € 3.75

TAKE NOTE: with your captain you can score double points, be aware that this score can also turn out negative!

The organizers of Competitie Manager 2010-2011 uses the statistics of an official data partner to decide the results of the matches and the performance of players. In case of doubt or discussion the organizers of Competitie Manager 2010-2011 will have the right to make the final decision. These decisions are binding and cannot be overruled. Modifications in match statistics made after 11:00 CET on the day after the last match(es) of a match weekend will not be included in the results of the game. A player can only win points when he plays, even if it is only 1 second. In case of a suspended game the organizers of Competitie Manager 2010-2011 will decide if the game will be counted.

Should multiple contestants have similar scores, the winner will be decided by the one who has the highest budget. Should this still result in a similar score result, then the winner is decided by the one who earned the most points by the trivia questions. Should this still result in similar scores, than the winner is decided by the one who has registered as first compared to the other.

Apart from scoring points with your players, you can also obtain extra points with the football quiz. Every round a question will be asked on your personal team page. For every correct answer you will win 3 additional points. Take note: only points, no extra budget! Answering the quiz question is only possible before the closure of the database.

Every player automatically enteres the General ranking of Competitie Manager 2010-2011, the total points scored determines your position in this ranking. It is also possible to compete with your friends, colleagues or family members in a private ranking by creating your own Subleague

The game starts with your registration. In order to play Competitie Manager 2010-2011 you need to register first. You can use your Sportdreams login combination to play Competitie Manager 2010-2011 or use your old Sportdreams.com login combination if you have played a Sportdreams game before.

If you have not registered yet, please do so using the registration form. Choose a password in combination with your email address. Make sure you enter correct and true information. After you have completed your registration you will receive a confirmation email with a confirmation link and instructions complete registration. Entering dishonest information may result in disqualification. Once you have registered for Competitie Manager 2010-2011 you can create your ultimate team. After your registration you can always login to the game using your login combination you previously set up at Sportdreams or Sportdreams.com.

Registration is possible during the entire season; however, modifications to your team are only possible when the database is open. Make sure you know when the database is open and your Live team is ready.

After following the registration instructions you will be able to log in to your overview page. On this page you will find the combination of your overall score, your place in the general ranking and in the subleagues in which you participate. By clicking in this overview on your position (the number), you will access the section of the general ranking in which your team is positioned.

It is also possible from this page to join an existing subleague or to organize your own subleague (see subleagues). From this overview page you have direct access to your Test team page featuring your selection of players. On your Test team page, it is possible to put together a team or change the composition of your current selection. Hereafter you must copy your Testteam to your Live team in order to score points.

It is possible to participate and compete with family, friends, colleagues etc. in a subleague. In this subleague you play together with but above all, you can play against each other in a separate ranking. Every subleague has a message board on which messages can be left for the other members.

Each participant in the game can organize his/her own subleague by clicking on "Organise subleague" on his/her personal overview page. The organizer of this subleague creates a login name as well as a password and will be able to control the participation through the selective distribution of these codes. It is possible for all participants to organize a subleague, however it is advisable to first mutually determine who will act as the administrator. The administrator is responsible for the formation of the community in the subleague and he/she determines who gets to participate in the subleague.

The other participants can, upon invitation by the administrator, register themselves for the subleague by clicking on "Join subleague". All that is needed is the combination of log in and password for the specific subleague. The subleagues and accompanying bulletin boards fall outside the responsibility of Sportdreams.com and Sportdreams.

Every team always participates in the overall ranking as well as in the ranking per round. Besides these general rankings for individual teams there is also a ranking for subleagues. To be included in the general ranking of subleagues a subleague needs to have at least two participants. In the formation of the subleagues ranking the decisive factor is the average of all scores of each subleague member.
